Risk Assessments
Section 3 of the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (MHSWR) requires every employer to carry out risk assessments and put proper and adequate controls in place to ensure the safety of their employees and any visitors/customers.
Assessments must be carried out by a competent person, to ensure all potential hazards and risks are identified and properly controlled.
We can provide as much or as little help with this as you need, from a complete risk assessment programme done in conjunction with your team (after all, they know your business best), to individual machine assessments and periodic reviews. After our visit, we will then put forward our recommendations for control measures and offer you support in implementing them.
Method Statements
As well as providing a level of safety management in addition to your risk assessments; method statements are often asked for by larger contractors. They explain, step-by-step, how you are going to carry out a particular job; including what type of equipment you will use and PPE that should be worn.
